2 minute readMeet our latest ArtNotAds featured artist.
Jason “JP” Pereira is a muralist and graphic artist of Samoan descent. As a kid he found inspiration in his father’s architectural work and discovered his love for island culture during the summers he spent in American Samoa, attending cultural art workshops. As a teen and into adulthood, his creative interests gravitated towards graffiti art, but has always carried the artistry of his Pacific Island culture with him. He is currently the artist-in-residence at the Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum in downtown Long Beach.
Video shot, edited, and directed by Sutton York. Produced by Brandie Davison.
